ABLE Communications specializes in the design and manufacturing of serial communication products for the UNIX marketplace. ABLE also continues to support and expand ABLE Computer connectivity products that were primarily for the DEC (Digital Equipment) marketplace.

The SCSIserver^TM product line is ABLE's entry into the UNIX marketplace with a new technology that addresses requirements for "real time" process control applications and ISP modem bank applications. SCSImaster is directed at the large line multi-user terminal systems allowing UNIX users to take advantage of the MuxMaster® and EASYway® product lines that have hundreds of thousands of ports installed in DEC sites around the world.

ABLE makes certain that its product architectures are open ended to serve their customer's growing needs and have expansion capabilities for customization such as the Baudot to ASCII conversion provided on our ServeMaster LAT terminal server. ABLE "future-proof's" their products to protect their customers from obsolescence by providing capabilities to adapt to new technology. Even our PL550 replacement for the DECserver550 runs faster, connects twice the number of modem connections and supports "on-line" replacement of modules while remaining download software compatible. With EASYway PL550 compatible, the capabilities are extended far beyond what DEC or anyone else would ever expect!

For DEC customers, ABLE continues to manufacture and support the complete line of ABLE Computer " DEC Traditional" add-in products for DEC computers. We extend our protection from obsolescence to ALL DEC customers by providing Qniverter^TM and Microverter^TM to allow them to keep their older Unibus equipment and migrate to newer, lower maintenance, processors such as LSI-11s and VAX 3000s and 4000 series.
