Distributed Port Concentration
MuxMaster® distributed system of work area port concentrators is the most practical solution to connecting large numbers of terminals, modems and printers in the open systems multiuser environment. Capable of distributing concentrators over a distance of 1000 feet on standard telco wire (typically already installed) without the use of repeaters eliminates new costly wiring plants.
Eliminate data input errors caused by lazy echo response when trying to enter data on ethernet terminal systems on busy networks. Using short packet SDLC packets and a highly efficient "fairness" algorithm, async echo response times are 50 times faster than other distributed methods, such as ethernet terminal servers.
Add to these features the "fault tolerant" nature of the system that allows "on-line" replacement of modules without software intervention and without disturbing other users. A single twisted pair wire connects up to 128 serial ports to a variety of host and network adapters. Compatibility with the EASYway line of network products extends the capability of MuxMaster beyond that of ANY similar product in the industry. See some example sites in the Application Notes.
