EASYway - Serial Network Exchanges and gateways

EASYway serial networking products offer the most efficient and highest large line bandwidth capability available. Based upon a short 32 byte SDLC packet structure, the echo response time, even when thousands of ports are being handled, is better than 50 times that which can be expected on ethernet terminal servers. This non-blocking, non-contention networking method is similar to the approach used for ATM.

This non-blocking exchange has resource sharing and management capabilities unheard of in the typical network environment. From simple port contention of limited resources, to nested hunt groups and shared groups, EASYway has capabilities found nowhere else. Port access security can be limited to hours, days, with up to 3 levels of password control. Auto-configure features are so rich that hardware installation is a snap, its only when you really want to get sophisticated with names and sub-groups etc etc, that you may have to draw yourself a map. A complete display of time stamped connect/disconnects can be audited for accounting and security audits. NC3600

Network exchange (hub) that supports up to 3600 nodes connected by up to 32 Muxlink (4 links per module, 128 ports per link). Muxlink modules are designed to connect to MuxMaster serial port concentrators and to various host and network connection devices such as SCSImaster , PL550 , Remotegate , and embedded host interfaces such as the FP105, FP106, FP110. Exchanges can be interconnected via high speed HDLC links in various topologies for redundancy and improved performance. The NC3600 is a 10 1/2 inch rack mount unit capable of on-line module replacement and optional redundant power.

NC480

Baby brother of the NC3600 but offering the same resource sharing and management capabilities. Limited to 4 Muxlinks and 480 nodes, this small 4 inch high table top unit is "small but mighty!".

Telephone connections can be expensive but necessary when remote offices must be serviced. To provide for this connectivity with the highest performance ABLE made an ARQ protocol compatible gateway compatible with DCX systems from CASE, Paradyne, Cray and their associated statistical multiplexor technology.

Using REMOTEgates with MuxMaster and EASYway elements or with CASE, Paradyne or Cray equipment, a very robust and durable WAN configuration can be produced.

RG300-2	Connects 128 virtual ports to a Muxlink SDLC cable gatewaying to two ARQ synchronous ports with speeds to 256Kbaud each.
RG300-4	Same with four ARQ ports with speeds to 64Kbaud each.

To assist in various building and campus wide configurations, ABLE offers several line conditioner and repeater devices for its high speed Muxlink SDLC cabling.

MB100	T1 adapter connects Muxlink SDLC protocol across a T1 for metropolitan wiring.
MB225	Fiber Optic Modem with half duplex circuitry for campus connection up to 4 Km.
MB300	8 port star repeater, add up to 8 additional 1000 foot runs to a Muxlink.
